Mission Statement

THE ICT SUBJECT AREA AIMS TO:

  1. Provide a curriculum which enables pupils to acquire knowledge and understanding of ICT and the skills necessary to function within the different sectors of the IT industry. This will help prepare students for their future roles as competent ICT users.
  2. Provide an ICT curriculum that is broad and balanced as well as interesting
  3. Provide a curriculum that is relevant to pupils' everyday experiences
  4. Provide pupils with appropriate academic and vocational qualifications in ICT
  5. Provide input into the curriculum from representatives from IT Industry
