The National Curriculum for Music is followed.

What is Music? Shocks and Surprises (Contrasts); Sounds and Signs; Pitch and Rhythm Notation; Instruments of the Orchestra; Texture and Timbre.

Groupings
You will have one 50 minute Music lesson per week and will be taught in your form groups.

Assessment
You will be assessed at the end of each unit of study and receive a mark for your work in Composition and Performances. Listening assignments are also graded.
