All schools within Haberdashers’ Aske’s Federation are committed to working with their local community and incorporating this commitment in all areas of education. As part of a wider community Haberdashers’ Aske’s Federation to promote national and global networks.
The Federation seeks to identify specifics needs of each schools local and wider community. A plan of action is then developed whereby students and staff are engaged in making positive and effective contributions.
The three Federation schools all have a community purpose with facilities allowing the following:
We work closely with the charity Greenhouse Schools Project to provide coaching and facilities for all young people in the area.
Throughout their time at the Federation learners’ develop their understanding of the national community so that they can appreciate and value diversity, gain awareness of human rights and develop the social skills need to participate in society as a whole.
Specialist events run regularly to celebrate the national and internal diversity such as multicultural evenings involving parents, students and staff as well as partnerships with a variety of educational institutions, charities and clubs and groups.
Dr Sidwell and other members of the Federation Leadership team are involved in educational and government forums, contributing to policy reforms and initiatives. The Federation also lends its expertise to other schools across the United Kingdom, via the Aske’s Consultancy Service.
We are members of the iNET (the international arm of the SSAT) and of the IAA working with academies nationwide.
