The Crayford Academy will encourage its pupils to make positive contributions to the local and wider community. With strong links to national and international organisations and charities providing many opportunities for trips and visits which will enable students to be given a wide perspective on the world around them. This perspective will add significantly to pupil’s personal development and enjoyment.
There will be outstanding extracurricular provision offered, as with all schools in the Federation. Secondary school pupils will have the opportunity to undertake work in local primary schools, hospitals, homes for the elderly, day centres and community projects and fund raising.
Like its sister schools in the Federation, Crayford Academy will also network nationally and internationally to ensure full benefit and opportunities for our students.
The Haberdashers’ Aske’s Federation are firmly rooted in the local community and the tradition will be continued with master classes for primary schools, day and evening classes for adults, community uses such as parent and student workshops and parent and toddler groups. The new building will have state of the art Technology and sporting facilities which will be available for hire to the general public. In this way, the Academy will have a distinct character, reflecting the area it serves and playing a full part in the regeneration of the area and surrounding environment.
