Teacher of Psychology & Sociology

Sociology is a dynamic subject which uses theories like Marxism and feminism to question, challenge and explain what happens in society. It is an old subject, it began after the Industrial Revolution. However, in your lessons you will study contemporary British society, most of all. Sociology is an academic writing subject, there is a serious vocabulary requirement – you will learn a lot of new words! GCSE sociology is 100% exam assessed and we use the AQA exam board.

Key Stage 4

We have begun the new GCSE specification which is in-line with governmental changes to GCSEs. In short, this means that the spec is more challenging than its predecessor and it used the 9-1 grading system.
